My Fellow Bloggers:

I hope this finds you well. I am penning this letter to congratulate the entire On Deaf Ears team on the significant achievement of blogging for one entire week.

It takes a lot of heart to blog for an entire week. A lot of guts. A lot of determination. You’ve all shown that you have that. That, and much, much more. I stand in awe.

During this tough and trying week, we’ve covered such artists as Abba, Frightened Rabbit, The Notorious B.I.G., Black Seeds, Shaun Cassidy, Trail of Dead, Steve Earle, Cyndi Lauper, The Old 97’s, The Replacements, Green Day, Phish, Dennis Wilson, Pete and the Pirates, Snoop Dogg, and Robert Mitchum. No small achievement, that.

But do not let this significant achievement make you complacent. We have a long way to go. We still have three erstwhile bloggers.

Also, after a week, I would have expected hundreds, if not thousands, of outside readers. So far, we only have two comments from beyond the narrow confines of our own circle–both of them in response to posts by Jason, because he pissed them off.

And it goes a little something like this–

Commenters: F*** you, J.A.!

Jason: Yeeeah! Ha ha! It’s the blogga ya love to hate!

  1. Jason Austinite says:

I guess the lesson here is people who like Green Day and Phish are intolerant of the opinions of others.

    Next target: Dave Matthews Band?

  2. Awww, that’s not really fair. The Green Day girl was polite.

As for Dave Matthews, you know that “Ants Marching” song? The one that goes “WAAH waah waah, waah waah WAAH!”? I may hate that song more than any other song in the history of music.
